This is a FABULOUS, EARLY antique French Lace Bonnet for a "Big Girl" as shown on my 29" Tete Jumeau (who has a 17" head circumference), circa 1880's. The lace is "to die for" and applied in layers over a black net. There is a lace ruffle which frames the face with "tails" at the front. There is also a fine embroidered trim at the front. Pretty, fine antique striped blue ribbons decorate the top nestled among lace rosettes. The original LONG cream ribbon ties are attached in very good shape with just a few pinholes. There is a wire at the base for support - all hand-sewn. I have had this bonnet in my personal collection for many years and have just decided to part with it.
*This bonnet is in wonderful condition with hardly any wear at all and NO odors.
