Two gorgeous 8.5" numbered plates from The Hamilton Collection - Little Ladies Series, depicting the artistry of Maud Humphrey Bogart. They were produced in 1989 and are perfect for the doll room! One is called "Playing Mama" and has a little Victorian girl washing her dolly in a basin with her clothing and accessories scattered around beneath her. The second plate is called "Playing Bridesmaid" and depicts two little Victorian girls playing "dress-up" and getting ready to have a mock wedding ceremony. Both plates have soft colors of blues, pinks and greens with a pretty gold painted border and rim. Maud Humphrey had such a talent for drawing children in the sweetest possible way and these illustrations are charming.
These plates are in perfect condition - no chips, scratches, discoloring or gold loss. They do not have their original boxes, but are numbered and dated on the back.
TODAY is MAUD HUMPHREY EXTRAVAGANZA DAY at Doll Heaven. I have also listed Madame Alexander Dolls depicting "Maud Humphrey" illustrations (a set of three) and a beautiful porcelain figurine from Germany, made in the likeness of Maud Humphrey's work.
*Please Note: The little Maud Humphrey MA doll is for sale on another listing, but is NOT included with the plates.
