A genuine gem for the gentleman this 1940's pure wool overcoat is a simply spiffing piece of tailoring.
This coat was made in England in the 40's by Simpson tailoring under the Padak trademark.
It is cut from a very thick, heavy tight knit wool in a grey shade, button down front with dark grey plastic buttons, it is single breasted.
It has pockets including one internal pocket where the label / branding can be found, it is not sized but measurements provided below.
It has a rich copper satin lining, this coat is smart but could be worn with formal or casual dress and would look equally as good with both.
Condition is good, used with some signs of use and wear commensurate with age, a couple of defects, the lining inside has detached from one arm and will need mending, there are a couple of light rubbed patches mostly around the collar, all pictured.
It has been gently steamed and brushed but could do with a dry clean for tip top conditioning.
