An impeccable antique, early 20th century Japanese boxwood Snake netsuke.

Such incredible detailing on this one from the life like poise of the snake coiling around branches of bamboo to the tiny highlights on the snakes skin.

Great attention to detail went into this little carving, if you are a lover of snakes or a collector of netsukes then it really is an extra special piece.

Made in Japan, all hand carved from boxwood with a light aged patina the snake has tiny inset black glass eyes.

Early 20th century, c1910s

Very good used condition overall, light overall patina, some very minor surface wear, commensurate with age.
