A charming early 20th century, c1920s cold painted century Terrier table vesta and ashtray.

A handsome chap, he is a Scottish Terrier, painted with a black coat and red collar.

His back opens up to reveal a gilded cigarette rest also large enough for a pipe to rest and his head opens up to reveal a slim hole for matches.

There is no Ash tray or liner for the matches underneath to catch the Ash so would need to have a suitable liner and ashtray added.

Until he finds himself a new home we have nicknamed Dodger.

There were two types of these combinations made in the terrier design, one as a vesta and the other a table lighter.

This one has been re-gilded at some point.

Condition:
Good condition overall, paint loss and chips to paint throughout, lacking the aforementioned liners.

A charming piece of tobacciana.
