A pretty antique sterling silver trinket or jewellery pot.
It is a circular box with a hinged lid, it has a raised pie crust edge and a lovely chased floral design on the lid.
The cartouche on the lid is finished with a ribbon design and the centre is plain so could be engraved to personalise
It stands on three small silver cabriole shaped legs and is lined inside with a beige velvet the underside covered with black leather.
Hallmarked on the rim of the lid and the body, Birmingham, 1913, makers mark is worn but is W. G Sothers.
Good used condition overall, some small dings, mostly to the pie crust edge, overall patina, the hinge is very, very loose and will not withstand much pressure / use, the lid slots on / off so would still work if it came unhinged but it is a point to note as it is very weak in the area.
Weight 101.26 grams.
