An elaborate late Georgian double hair verso mourning brooch.
It has double hair verso panels to the front and back, the front displays an elaborate hairwork spray all tied together nicely with seed pearls and on a waxed backing, the back has a finely woven dark hair.
Set into a scrolling pinchbeck mount, the very innermost frame holding the panels tests as 9ct gold, the remainder is pinchbeck and the pin is steel.
Old C type clasp which holds well, steel pin.

Condition is good for the age:
*some wear to the scroll work with some tiny holes in the metal but still strong
*age commensurate wear and signs of use I. E light scratches on the panels
