Gorgeous Victorian diamond brooch in 15ct / 15kt yellow gold.
It has lots of fine detailing on it the top and bottom edges are beaded with gold beads and there is a bead on each end of the brooch forming a finial, graduating out from the centre star are two points with leafs on them.
This brooch is incredibly well made in an Etruscan revival style, there is a central shining old cut diamond inset into a star shaped recess, approximate total carat weight is 0.11 (estimated in setting).
It is in excellent antique condition the gold is lovely rich and lustrous, the diamond has a wonderful sparkle to it and really glimmers.
Fully hallmarked for Chester, 1896, 15ct gold, maker is the renowned Henry Griffith and Sons.
The pin itself is base metal.
