A very unusual and primitive 18th century Tibetan copper ewer.
Completely hand hammered with large dovetail joins seen throughout the design.
It has an unusual rustic neck and spout and is a fairly heavy piece of copper.
Traditionally used by the monks of Tibet.
A really interesting piece for the collector or as a great home / garden accent piece.
It has a dark bronzed patina with an amount of verdigris particularly on the base, we have not cleaned it so as to preserve its history.
It has had some primitive repairs around the neck with a red clay but these are old.
It does not hold its liquid any longer and leaks however there are no obvious holes, it is dented and well used but a lovely piece rich in history.
Approx 14" high and 7" width.
