A very pretty finely cut vanity jar, it has a sterling silver repousse decorated lid with a gilt underside, fully hallmarked and a star cut base.
There is some very nice and elaborate detailing in the cut and overall it is in nice condition for the age, the lid has a central cartouche and Art Nouveau style design of flora.
The sterling lid is a push top lid, very slightly domed and exhibits the Hallmarks on the top, Birmingham, 1917, William Adams Ltd.
A lovely addition to the dressing table, perfect size and shape for a nail buffer.
Approx 1" height, 1" length and 4" width.
