A patinated hardwood tipstaff, late Georgian / early Victorian era with an unusual turned shape.
The tipstaff has a recess in the centre presumably for ease of carrying in the hand.
The piece is in good antique condition with no chips or cracks to the wood and a lovely grain.
It is simplistic and primitive in style with a rustic touch.
It does not have a handloop or strap and looks to have had one in the past that has come away.
A nice piece for the collector.
Approx 14.5" length and 4.5" circumference.
