A gorgeous little relief moulded antique Delft jug and bowl with the same patten.
The jug has a beautiful shape and the mold line can be seen down the front, along with the main scene it has handpainted floral displays.
They come decorated with a naive traditional scene of musicians playing to royalty or a noble, made in the Netherlands around 1770-80's, original tin glazed blue and white with a lovely lustre.
It is smaller than a washbowl and jug and is a decorative piece more suited to being a milk or cream jug.
There has been repair to the jug near the handle and there are marks here and there commensurate with the age and the soft glaze of delftware, I have to say though that these are in outstanding condition considering the age.
They have a mark on the underside but this has significantly faded over the years though it is believed that this is the Weesp mark of either the late 1770's or 1780's along with the artists mark.
The dish is approx 1.5" height and 5.5" diameter and the jug is 5.5" height and 6" width from spout to handle.
