A beautiful antique flow blue serving Comport / pedestal bowl, an original piece of Wedgwood Pearlware.
The marks on the underside are the impressed Wedgwood mark along with pearl, the pattern is poppy and the date letter sequence date the piece to 1867.
It has beautiful blue floral sprays with an almost translucent white and gilding, the Comport has a slightly raised edge inside which may indicate that it was lidded at some point but not necessarily.
It is in fairly good condition for the age, a couple of chips on the edges and some scratches but no cracks or repairs, it has some age related loss of gilding.
A lovely decorative antique piece for the dining table.
Original blue and white Wedgwood Pearlware is increasingly hard to find and highly collectable, so this is a perfect collectors piece for an existing or the start of a new collection.
Approx 11.5" total width, 10.5" length and 4.5" height.
