An incredible 17th century hand blown glass decanter, bulbous onion form flask with hand applied decoration.
It is a very fine hand blown glass flask, very primitive in its make and you can see the stritations of the blowing and hand applied decoration.
It is amazing for it to have survived so long for such a fine piece of antique glass, it came to us from a private collection and was originally from the Netherlands.
A very nice piece for the collector showing a lot of the craftsmanship of the period, c1690's
Approx 10" height including stopper and 21" circumference at the widest point.
Some of the hand applied glass work has chipped away and the body shows many natural imperfections and air bubbles, there are no cracks and the vessel still holds liquid without leaking.
