A traditional solid brass spirit kettle also known as a gypsy made in the late Victorian era c1880/1890s by the renowned maker of the period William Soutter and Sons, the kettle is marked to the base with the early Soutter trademark.
It has a turned ebony handle and comes with the original brass folding stand which houses the spirit burner, this one does not have the burner with it but this wouldn't be hard to replace.
A lovely rustic piece that would make a great display piece or a nice rustic antique travel kettle for the garden / patio or camping trips.
The brass is very shiny and strong, the lid fits well and it sits nicely on its stand.
It has a few dings here and there but this is commensurate with its age.
Approx 8" high, 12" high with stand and 8.5" width.
