A fantastic vintage scratch built model of the famous Shamrock yacht.
Built in 1898.
Shamrock was a contender in the 1899 America's Cup against the United States defender, Columbia.
Shamrock lost in all three races.
This boat has been lovingly and carefully hand built and stands on an attractive wooden plinth with a brass plaque with the name Shamrock.
The boat is made from a number of different materials, cotton, metal wood etc.
A lovely piece and full of detail with scale precision masts and detailing.
A particularly nice and older example.
Approx measurements: 25" height 17.5" width
