An attractive solid sterling silver Victorian aesthetic style floral paste brooch.
A fancy take on a bar brooch with an elongated floral design, 2 beautiful bright foiled paste at either side and in the centre a cut out floral design featuring a large central foiled paste and little engraved flowers top and bottom.
The brooch has an old C type clasp that holds well and is fully hallmarked on the back for Birmingham 1892, makers mark ineligible.
Lots and lots of small details on this one.
The aesthetic movement began in the late 19th century and was a movement that favored beauty and championed art for arts sake.
Very good antique condition, slight discolouration on one of the paste on the left outer side.
