An attractive and large solid sterling silver Victorian aesthetic era brooch.
Circular medal style design with a curved edge design and a lovely engraved floral display which extends to the bottom of the brooch and ties the whole design together nicely.
The brooch has an old C type clasp that holds well and is fully hallmarked on the back for Birmingham 1884, Albert Sydenham.
The aesthetic movement began in the late 19th century and was a movement that favored beauty and championed art for arts sake.
Approx 1.3" width and 1.5" height
