A beautiful antique 19th century Indian brass Kohl flask with the original screw applicator.
The flask itself has a smooth turned brass pedestal shaped body and the screw top applicator has a lovely pierced and engraved metalwork finial with Indian letters.
Very weighty for such a small piece.
It is in very good antique condition.
It has a nice natural patina to it which I have not cleaned but it could be polished up to a high gold shine.
Kohl and eye makeup in general was a widely accustomed tradition in 19th century India along with Persian and Islamic areas.
This piece would make a beautiful piece of history for the dressing table.
Approx 9cm height and 10cm diameter at the widest point.
