An attractive and unusual piece of antique veterinary equipment.
A highly reputable company Day and Sons started out being the largest provider of equestrian medicine related items in the Victorian era by appointment to her majesty they continued this trend up until the 1950's, they are still in production however under a different name.
This fabulous piece is a horse syringe, crafted from solid brass, the Day and Sons name plate to the front which states by appointment to his majesty the King, the King being King George V, this piece is an early 20th century example Circa 1916.
It has a mahogany handle, this has a slight chip in it.
In very good antique condition, small chip to the handle as mentioned, commensurate wear.
A beautiful antique piece.
Approx 18" length and 9.5" circumference and 4" width.
