An absolutely gorgeous early 1920's French sequined evening purse.
The body of the purse is made from a gunmetal gray satin with a black sequined pattern, the interior is lined in a soft inky black satin and marked made in France in gold lettering with a small internal pocket.
It has a bronze tone chain handle which has lost a lot of the tone but is still in keeping with the style as it is now a dark steel gray.
It has a truly beautiful frame which is crafted from golden gilt metal with an ornate gilt and satin snap closure clasp, black grosgrain fabric and inset with three rows of claw mounted foil backed paste stones.
It is in a used but good condition, no rips or tears, no stains and all paste stones present, the gilding is still lovely and golden.
A really decadent French flapper era purse belonging once to a French lady that was an original showgirl on the French circuit, a true 'Flappers' purse.
Great collectors piece.
