A beautiful antique Anglo-Indian Vizagapatam trinket / jewellery box.
Heavily and intricately carved woodwork with parquetry and inlaid bone detailing.
It has been so intricately hand inlaid bovine bone along with some, the intricacy of these beautiful boxes is unbelievable.
It is a very nice hexagonal shape and it has an ornate brass clasp for closure.
There is a tiny chip on one piece of bone but overall condition for the age is good.
It is lined inside with a red velour which shows some fade and the same has been used on the base.
