Stunning is the only way to describe this amazing 1920's devoré velvet number.
This dress is crafted from a lovely devoré velvet with floral design over a black satin underdress.
It has a very long v neckline with a cream cotton lace modesty panel set into it, at the neck there is a beautiful fastener of two hand painted wooden buttons, the same button detailing can be found at the end of the dropped waistline.
The waistline drops in a subtle v shape with a central godet below to give some swirl factor.
The back of the neck has a small cream cotton lace band as do the cuffs, at the bottom of the arms there is a small row of tiny metal stud fastenings.
There are no side fastenings on this one.
There is ever such slight fade on some areas of the velvet but this does not detract from the dress.
The hem has been quite cut in quite a gaudy manner and is now a bit uneven and unhemmed, this is easily remedied though, it was probably much longer at some point.
I cannot find any obvious rips or tears or any real significant issues, overall for the age it is in excellent condition.
Length shoulder to hem: 49"
