A very intriguing late Georgian silver and serpentine ring.
Good pieces of old serpentine jewelry are hard to find and so is serpentine stone with transparency, this beautiful ring has both of those qualities.
The serpentine is rectangular and faceted in cut within a simple silver claw setting, it has amazing detail inside and is spattered with yellow green, white and black tones with some transparent areas.
There are no hallmarks on this piece it acid tests as sterling silver.
It is in very good antique condition and a truly beautiful piece.
