This pair of Victorian fire bellows is in immaculate condition, they are still fully working and have been beautifully preserved, they look as good as the day they were made.
Crafted from ebonised and lacquered hard wood they have been delicately inlaid with mother of pearl and have a very well painted and beautiful floral spray design.
They are bound with thick green hide leather which is affixed using solid brass studs, they also have a solid brass pipe, there is a small fabric loop affixed to the back so they may be hung on the wall by the fire.
The leather is in excellent condition with no real signs of wear and no rips or tears, the mother of pearl is intact and the gilded detail still shows beautifully.
It is unusual to find such a delicate antique piece in such well preserved condition and the artwork is beautiful.
