Directly from a house in Blois. It is an 18th century boxfrom the Napoleon III period, dated around 1850. This octagonal box is richly inlaid with small pieces of mother-of-pearl and brass in floral pattern. This has been done entirely by hand.
Since the box is more than 150 years old, it has suffered some damage, which is not disturbing in my eyes. The back of the coffin a considerable crack (see last photo), lacks a brass piping.
Height is 12 cm with a width of 25 cm and a depth of 19 cm.
