A very nice piece, a liqueur-set / tantalus in the shape of a bull. It is a typical early Napoleon piece. In the Empire period there was a lot of influence from the middle east practiced on beautiful pieces. Like the Blackamoor women and men, but this also comes back to animals like this bull, but also camels and elephants.
Taurus is made of a kind of metal alloy on a brass pedestal. 8 glass cups with silver and silvered casing are hanging from the bull. (two silver and six silver plated) The bull carries a barrel, it must be strong drink as it can be used as tantalus.
The height is 33cm with a width of 23cm and a depth of 15cm.
The silvered cases have a heart with a name.
