A truly stunning French antique gem! Coming from a private collection in Normandy, this ring can be attributed to the early-19th century (circa ~1800`s).
Absolutely stunning craftsmanship of the skilfully set prong setting and an amazing floral detailing on the shoulders of this band give it an absolutely lovely charm and character.
The stone has an elongated oval shape and a cabochon cut. Dark and rich violet color is muted down by it`s age-related surface abrasion, which adds a lot of mystery and a bit of a witchy glow to the amethyst.
This beauty will make a great gift for all those antique jewelry lovers out there!
