For your consideration is a spoon holder/ waste pot from a victorian tea set This item is from the turn of the century.A tap bell sits in the bowl, and was used to summon the servants. The bell rings fine, but where are the servants to answer your call! The bowl held the old tea leaves and spoons rested against the arms near the top of the tap bell. This rare item measures 9-1/4" tall to the top of the tap bell, & the spoon holder measures 4-1/2" in diameter. The bottom base measures 4-1/2 " in diameter including the figures. Considering it's age, the silverplate is in good condition and in my opinion doesn't need replating. Most of the wear is on the figures. There is a shallow dent about an inch long on the bowl ,which I have showed in the pictures, and a few scratches here and there. What a charming piece to use when "fancy dining" or to display on a sideboard.
