This figurine is of a girl in a fur-collared robe carrying a decorated Christmas tree on her shoulder. It has a cipher or initials incised on the base, possibly for Michael Powolny, the founder of Wiener Werkstatte. The design has striking similarities to postcards of the Wiener Werkstatte as well as pieces by Piowitt, a Wiener Werkstatte offshoot. The figurine is 4” (10.2 cm) tall and in fine condition. The Christmas Girl is certainly from the Wiener Werkstatte era, early 20th century.
