On offer is this lovely vintage silver table ashtray. It's in good condition overall, the silver shines up well still all over. Light scratches and the odd ding here and there including a line scratch to the near center but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.
It's of traditional rounded ashtray form featuring five rest areas for cigarettes/ cigars and decorated with an attractive feathered border rim.
The engraving has rubbed slightly over the years but is still perfectly readable - "Presented to A G O M E Burton in appreciation from No. 17 Welfare Committee National Fire Service 1945".
Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1945 and the maker Walker and Hall.
It measures 13.5cm (just over 5 and 1/4 inches) in diameter, weighs 110g and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
Postage quoted is for a "Tracked" service - tracking from me to you.
