On offer is this charming antique funnel. It's in good condition overall, the pewter metal has aged and tarnished up well over the years creating this chic patina. There are lots of small splits and missing pieces from the rim of the main body but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece. The strainer/ sieve part is bent and mis-shapen but is utterly charming.
It has a traditional funnel form, plain in design yet elegant and functional in appearance. The original straining/ sieve part is also present decorated with a series of small holes and a rope effect border rim.
Unmarked for a maker but certainly has age, early to mid 19th century.
It measures 8.5cm (3 and 1/4 inches) in outer diameter and 13.5cm (5 and 1/4 inches) in total length and is ready to be used and enjoyed once again.
