On offer is this lovely collectible antique caddy spoon. It's in really good condition overall, the silver shines up beautifully still all over.
It has a traditional spoon shape which has been decorated profusely with an outdoors design to the bowl area depicting two children - one sitting holding a dead game bird and the other riding what looks to be a dog. Surrounding them are foliate scrolls.
The handle features a majestic detailed ship which has added such a great finish to the item - as shown in the photos it displays beautifully.
There are two sets of hallmarks to the bowl area - the first being continental, Karl Kurz, Kesselstadt Germany. And the other set being import marks - 925 silver Chester and the date letter for 1910. The importer "HF" in a lozenge.
The back of the spoon is plain in design.
This spoon measures 14cm (5 and 1/2 inches) in length, weighs 32.7g and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again.
