On offer is this truly lovely antique teapot. It's in really good condition overall, no chips cracks or restoration and the colors look great still. There is notable ware to the gilding here and there but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.
It has a traditional teapot shape which has been beautifully decorated with a floral design and gilded highlights. The detailing is of a good standard and can be displayed from both sides. I just love the contrast with the rich blue handle, spout and top rim.
The original is present and in good order also.
Fully marked on the underside with the crown backstamp Carlton Ware and two registration numbers. The pattern (although unmarked) is Rose & Curlicue. Early 20th century.
This fine teapot measures 19cm (7 and 1/2 inches) in length from handle to spout, 12.5cm (5 inches) in height to the top of the lid finial and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again.
