This is a rare and very old pair of column bronze statues. They were taken from theater in Telluride, Colorado in the late 1800's, as they were outside columns. These are thought to even go back to late 1700's possibly early 1800's. They are pure solid bronze brass and one weighs 110 pounds the other 120. They are in fine patina showing once to be painted but all the paint wore off with weather and age. Great pair with great detail, the tops are approx. 10 1/4" wide and 10" deep, the bottoms are 13 1/2" wide and 7 1/2" deep with the faces being approx. 14" deep. Minor damage to the mid bottom of one where someone tried to cut it without success. This shows also that they are solid and not hollow or filled. You will never see another pair like these.
