Unforgettable, just like her. Combining coral and pearls, this multi strand coral bead bracelet is a timeless design with a 14K gold showpiece clasp. Weighing in at just under 50 grams, this angelic, yet mighty, beauty is sure to steal her heart.
This 1960's beauty features three strands of natural angel skin coral beads and a grand 14K cabochon clasp. The 66 beads range in size from 7.2-7.5mm, with most in the 7.2 range. The bracelet measures 7/8" wide and, when clasped, 7-3/4" long. There are three 14K gold spacer bars that snugly keep the three strands in line. The beads are currently knotted in between, but we are happy to restring without knots for a bit shorter total length.
The clasp itself is a showpiece which is crafted of 14K yellow gold with a large cabochon surrounded by natural seed pearls. It is fitted with a wide tongue and groove closure, as well as a figure 8 safety clasp for added security. The entire clasp setting measures 27x22mm (1-1/16" tall by 7/8" wide). The spectacular cabochon measures 19.4x14.5mm cabochon and is gallery set. A halo of forty-six 2mm seed pearls are wired around the bezel's base. A 2mm link chain completes the outer surround of this most striking clasp. Including the cabochon, the entire clasp measures over 1/2" thick. The back of the clasp is crafted from a solid sheet of 14K yellow gold that is hand pierced in an elaborate floral pattern. It is hallmarked "14K". The bracelet weighs 46.6 grams.
The coral is natural, undyed and not treated in any manner. The oval cabochon and beads are polished to a nice gloss and exhibit no inherent surface fissures. The stately cabochon and beads offer a uniform soft blush hue. Not pink or cream, simply a delicate blush, like the skin of an angel, that adds a youthful glow to any complexion. When magnified, the cabochon is a completely solid hue and a handful of beads exhibit graduated areas of blush.
The bracelet is in superb condition with no damage to the cabochon or beads. All surfaces are smooth and we see no inherent lines beneath the surface in any of the beads. The clasp is in excellent condition with no damage or evidence of prior repairs. All of the original 46 pearls are in place and offer a soft ivory hue that accents the coral very nicely. These type of pearl surrounds are wired and often over the years, one or two can be damaged and lost. These pearls are perfect. The tongue and groove closure operates nicely, including its release button, clasp tongue and receiver and the figure 8 safety catch. A definitive click can still be heard when the clasp engages.
This blushing beauty will be freshly restrung and delivered in an elegant presentation case, perfect for gift giving and storage. A copy of our easy coral care instructions will be included, to keep the coral blooming in all of its glory for generations to come.
