Ready to toss those stuffy pearls? Precious coral beads are a timeless and chic accessory sure to capture your heart. This 18K white angel skin coral necklace is so easy to mix and match with everything in your closet and is absolutely perfect for any day, any time, any event.
Circa 1960's, this is a hard to find vintage bead necklace with uniform sized beads, as most of this era are the graduated style. The bead sizes vary ever so slightly from 8.5-9mm, with most in the 8mm range. The necklace measures 19.5 inches in length and features an 18K yellow gold clasp with a 6.5mm cabochon at center. The clasp features a hand pierced design in front with a solid back. It closes with an easy to use tongue and groove closure. It also has a figure 8 safety catch for added security. The clasp is hallmarked "750". This is a very nicely sized necklace with a total weight of 42.2 grams.
The coral is natural, in a soft white hue that is untreated or bleached. The beads are carved in the modern full round shape popularized after the 1940's. The bead surfaces are smooth and free of inherent fissures. We see no beneath the surface growth plates. The coral is supple and without age related chips or cracks. The beads possess their original glossy polish.
The exact hue of the coral is a soft winter white. Minute blushes can be seen when magnified on two or three of the beads. With the naked eye, all of the coral beads are a pleasing soft white hue. This particular variety is one of my personal favorites as it can be worn with everything. It never is out of place and it always looks great. A great strand of coral beads of any variety never fails to draw the eye into "you".
This white beauty will be delivered in a lovely presentation case, along with a copy of our easy coral care instructions. Coral is quite easy to care for, as it thrives against the skin.
