A lovely set of 2 antique French Chicory tins. They are from the late 1800s and still have some of their original design still present. They were red and gold, and the color still show a little bit. They have the shape of a book. A unique accent for a shabby or country kitchen.
Both tins were design to store Chicory from 2 different brand. One was "Chicoree Extra - Cafe Tour Eiffel Charles Debacker" and "Chicoree Extra a la Francaise - Paul Mairesse founded in 1815"
Condition: These tins are in vintage condition. They have darkened with tome. One side is more bright and colorful than the other one. They have some rust and obvious oxidation. For display only - not safe for storing food. Click on ZOOM for larger pictures. Contact me if you need more informations.
