A pretty Art Deco French acid etched glass siphon / seltzer bottle in pink from the 1930s. It is complete with the glass straw and everything is original.
Antique seltzer or "Siphon" as we call them in French in this pyramidal fluted shape are very decorative and sought-after by collectors.
The inscription in the front reads as follow: "Bierre - Limonades (Beers and lemonades) - La Bienfaisante (Tradename) - Fernand Viaud (Owner) - Thouars (City)". The same name is engraved on the metal top.
Condition: This siphon is in good vintage condition with no cracks and some scratches toward the bottom. There are a few superficial chips toward the bottom as seen in picture 5. The bottle is clean but still has some buildup. The buildup disappears if you fill your bottle with a clear liquid. The seltzer can be open. Click on ZOOM for larger pictures.
