A lovely set of 3 French cafe au lait bowls made by Badonviller in the 1950s. These bowls have a white background with a burgundy and green pattern. These colors have a Holidays / Christmas feel to it. They each have a stamp from Fabrique de Badonviller (FB) and the number 3, referring to the size of the bowl, engraved on the bottom. A unique addition to a mid century kitchen.
Condition: These 3 bowls are in good condition. Two have a lot of markings inside the bowl due to glaze crackling. This however gives them a really nice vintage look. One also has 3 dots inside the bowl that were created during the production / firing process. The third bowl has no glaze crackling but many small chips around the top rim that were done a long time ago and which edge have soften with time. These chips have created some tea stains. Still, these bowls are very shiny and the colors still bright and popping. They are totally usable to drink your coffee au lait.
