A lovely set of 2 French cafe au lait bowls made by Badonviller in the 1950s. These bowls have a white background with a blue pattern, one being silver and turquoise, the other one being Marine blue. They each have a stamp from Fabrique de Badonviller (FB) and the number 3, referring to the size of the bowl, engraved on the bottom. A unique addition to a mid century kitchen.
Condition: These 2 bowls are in good condition. The marine blue one has some glaze crackling markings inside and outside the bowl, giving it its vintage appeal, as well as a hairline crack visible on picture 5. (Please note - The hairline crack will be more visible when the bol is wet.) The turquoise one has many flea bites around the top rim as well as small chips that were done a long time ago. They have darken and the edge soften with the time. Both bowls are usable.
