A fine English George II walnut winged armchair of excellent shape & proportions.
This wonderful chair was made for man of stature in England- just look at the size!
The back with serpentine shaped top flanked by out swept side wings,
scrolling outwards to form armrests which terminate in an elegant tightly scrolled column.
The front cabriole legs have shell carvings to the knees with claw and ball feet,
and the rear legs terminating in a carved swept foot.
reupholstered in a wonderful European embossed silk velvet
with metallic overlay by Rubelli. Condition is wonderful- a solid chair for a large man!
