1930's asymmetrical fedora. Fabric is a soft velvet with a black felt under the brim. Low crown holds a wide panel of lilac sequins across the front. Back brim folds up displaying the placement cap underneath.
Interior is finished with a black acetate and the standard petersham ribbon.
Label is H. P. Wasson & Co. H. P. Wasson Company started in 1874 and remained in business until 1980.
There is a size tag of 23 and measuring the circumference on the inside it is 22 inches.
There are some condition issues. The lining on the inside has become unstitched underneath the petersham band. There is also makeup stains on the inner band. Outside fabric is in good condition, no holes, stains or color loss. Basically a fabulous 1930's hat.
