A very unusual look for this 1940's hat. Body is a deep flat black felt with upward turning all around brim. Tucked down inside the cuff is a thick black netting. Attached to the right side is two rounded ears edged in tiny pearls. They can be worn more in the air or stitched down flat.
The interior is finished with a simple black grosgrain ribbon.
Label is Original Roberta Bernays. This label was seen in the 1930's through the 1950's.
Very good condition showing only minimal wear which you would expect in a toque of this age. The netting is damage so not able to be worn down.
Tagged a size 22 1/2. The inner circumference is 21 inches. Measuring on the outside, side to side is 16 inches and front to back is 14 inches.
