This bridal kimono is an authentic collectors’ item and unique. It was created by the famous Japanese designer Yumi Katsura. A superfine combination of volume, unconventional sleeves, Nishiki woven raised silk brocade to which a bride or a collector could possibly dream of. There are 14 meters (16 yards) of silk brocade fabric fashioned in this kimono, plus another 14 meters (16 yards) in the shioze silk lining. Made in Japan.
Ms. Yumi Katsura owns a Boutique in Paris, France, in front of Chanel boutique, in Place Vendome. She also has collections on display at he Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Condition: The item is in excellent vintage condition. Item is pre-owned and pre-loved. Sold 'as found' in Japan. The stunning brocade makes this kimono desirable and eye-catching.
