Atsuko-golden beauty, splendor, authentic Japanese silk kimono with golden thread, embroidery of the Imperial Gosho-guruma (carts). Woven silk Kimono (furisode kimono). Atsuko kimono was created to describe a Japanese Princess' beauty or alluring clothes; to compare the bearer to flowers, jewels, and gold; to wish the bearer a long life, many blessings, much wealth, and good fortune.
This kimono design used to be worn by princess daughters of shoguns and daimyos. Made of 14 meters (16 yards) of kinsha (silk), fully lined with another 14 meters (16 yards) of silk. Hand stitched and hand embroidered (please see all the photos included for its beauty).
It is an authentic collectors’ silk embroidered kimono. This is NOT one of those tourist-shop, satin kimono. It is the real deal, made of extra-refined silk rinzu woven in the traditional Japanese high-quality craftsmanship.
Total length (shoulder to hem): 62 inches (158 cm).
Each sleeve’s length: 42 inches (107 cm).
Sleeve end to sleeve end 54 inches (137 cm).

The item is in excellent condition-vintage. Kimono is pre-owned and loved. Very clean, inspected thoroughly. It was acquired in Japan, Nagasaki prefecture, assisted by a Japanese expert. Dates from the 1970s. Many different factors determine prices. First: age, rarity, and condition. Second: aesthetics. Since in Japan the best kimono have always been considered textile art, kimono prices can vary as much as do prices on paintings. Thus, beautiful and rare kimono command a premium.
