This is a traditional Japanese straight-sleeved coat imprinted with distinctive kanji. Made of hand-spun Japanese cotton and asa (hemp) coarse blend, these coats are usually worn only to festivals. Originally, Japanese happi were worn by house servants.
Item is 100% authentic. Kimono dates from the beginning of Showa period. Collectors' wall display and memorabilia.

Condition: Very good antique. Time patina and signs of pre-ownership are visible, foxing, some loose seams damage with age of the fabric. Consequently, the price is adjusted.
