This over kimono was meant to be worn unbelted with trailing hem. New generation of brides give kimono a new look and nothing beats the drama of a floor-sweeping, authentic, all embroidery kimono-wedding uchikake cape. Japanese Bridal Kimono is decorated with extra-fine embroidery, elegant flowers such as cherry blossom, ume blossom and birds-cranes (symbol of longevity) which are added on the front, back side, and sleeves to emphasize luxury and purity. Kimono have their historical roots in the fashions of the Japanese Imperial court. They are becoming very rare and hard to find.
