Large porcelain fishbowl with beautifully ornate decoration in over-glaze enamels in the five colors of genuine Imari pottery: red, yellow, green, purple, and dark blue. Goldfish and plants on the inside of the bowl; with an inverted lip decorated in green and manganese.
Provenance: The item was acquired at a specialty auction in the Southern island of Japan/Kyushu. Arita.
Dimensions: circa 10 inches High x 14 inches wide (25 cm x 35 cm). Weight: approx. 24 lb (11 kg).
Condition: Excellent for age. Beautiful bright colors, excellent hand-enameled porcelain. No chips or cracks. Item has not be repaired or cleaned. 100% authentic and unique. Planter, Floor Vase, Asian Pottery acquired in Arita-Imari Japan.
