This museum quality and conversation piece authentic kimono has hand painted, in Japanese Kano school style, images of the Seven sages of the bamboo grove (Edo period). This is a collectors’ item, authentic and unique. Many different factors determine prices. First: age, rarity, and condition. Second: aesthetics. Since in Japan the best kimono have always been considered textile art, kimono prices can vary as much as do prices on paintings. Thus, beautiful and rare kimono command a premium.
